Donelle Ruwe

Donelle Ruwe is an English professor at Northern Arizona University where she teaches British literature and English education courses. Her poetry has received various awards including the American Academy of Poets Award (1991), the Gretchen Warren Award and the Norma Farber/Rosalie Boyle Poetry Prize from the New England Poetry Club (1999). In 1998 she received the Kinloch Rivers Poetry Chapbook Competition award sponsored by the Poetry Society of South Carolina. She has published extensively on the history of children’s literature and is the editor of a collection of essays, Culturing the Child 1690-1914 (2005). She lives in Flagstaff, Arizona.
